Until the End of the World
  The future is past
Metrodome Distribution is proud to announce the DVD release of Until The End Of The World. Available for the first time on DVD, Wim Wenders’ iconic road movie spans the continents in a unique cinematic vision that is as ambitious in its scale as it is bold in its realisation.

The year is 1999. On the road to Paris a young woman encounters a mysterious stranger called Sam Farber who is on a dangerous mission for his father. Their brief encounter sets off a chain reaction of obsession and danger as a chase of truly global proportions ensues. But who is following whom? In a deadly race against time, with the world on the brink of global confrontation, the couple head for Australia where Sam’s father waits in his hidden laboratory. As the airplane sets off there is a flash in the sky. The engine cuts off. Is it the end of the world?

The soundtrack to Until The End Of The World is generally regarded as one of the most important motion picture soundtracks of the 1990’s. Wenders commissioned artists such as U2, R.E.M, Talking Heads, Lou Reed, Depeche Mode and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to contribute the kind of songs that they would conceivably be producing eight years hence. The result was a trail blazing cocktail of the decades most innovative and visionary talents, it became the perfect aural counterpoint to the searing visual impact the film possesses.

Starring Solveig Dommartin (Wings Of Desire), William Hurt (Altered States, History Of Violence, The Village), and Sam Neill (Jurassic Park, The Hunt For Red October).

Special Features: Theatrical Trailer and Essay on Wim Wenders from acclaimed film scholar Jason Wood.
