The ultimate anti-hero is back. Napoleon Dynamite is sweeter and more awesome than ever with a 2-disc special edition release. ‘Like, the Best Special Edition Release Ever’ is loaded with extras including the original audio commentaries from director, Jared Hess (Nacho Libre), and Napoleon himself, Jon Heder (Benchwarmers), as well as making-of documentaries, deleted scenes, audition footage, ‘Peluca’ – the original short that started it all, and much more. Napoleon Dynamite: Like, the Best Ever Special Edition is available to buy on DVD from 4 December 2006.
Napoleon Dynamite is the story of a kid with bo staff skills, computer hacking skills, and the ability to draw mystical creatures on sheets of A4 using nothing more than a common HB. While putting up with his online stud-of-a-brother, Kip, and his vain uncle Rico, Napoleon tries to persuade the high school student body to elect best mate Pedro as class President by way of a series of sweet dance moves…all the time with very chapped lips.
The release of the special edition comes just a year and a half after the original release, due to its cult following, its relentless popularity and Napoleons’ geek icon status. No one could have predicted the following that the film has had – ‘Vote for Pedro’ t-shirts being sported up and down the country, not to mention countless catch-phrases.
A must have DVD. And in the words of Deb, this is THE ONE.
