The Danziger Brothers on Blu-ray [read more]
  Vintage TV extravaganza
Network is thrilled to premiere five new remasters of long-unseen but notable series from the early days of ITV and courtesy of two enterprising Americans based in the UK, the Danziger brothers.

The Vise: Volume 1 [Blu-ray & DVD]
An anthology series that nailed its colours to the mast in the opening sentence of each episode: "The story we're going to tell is about people caught in the jaws of a vise - in a dilemma of their own making!". Over 65 episodes a rotating cast played out a succession of noir-tinged morality tales, with each show bookended by a monologue from moody Australian actor Ron Randell.

The Vise: Mark Saber: Volume 1 [Blu-ray & DVD]
Though the first series of The Vise successfully achieved an American network transmission, for the second run The Danzigers rebooted the format. Gone was the narrator and rotating cast, to be replaced by the stand-up private investigator Mark Saber, memorably played by Donald Gray.

Saber of London: Volume 1 [Blu-ray & DVD]
Following on the from success of the second series of The Vise - which was networked in the States and played regionally in the UK as Mark Saber - The Danzigers knew not to mess with a good thing and changed only the title for this third series - to Saber of London. The title may have changed (and the assistants too!), but that dogged detective Mark Saber was as reliable as always - no crime left unsolved, no criminal left unthwarted!

The Cheaters: The Complete Series [Blu-ray & DVD]
Oscar-nominated actor John Ireland gives a laid back, dryly-humorous performance as a dogged insurance investigator in this classic television series from The Danziger Brothers. Co-starring Robert Ayres as his straight-laced boss and filmed in and around an early '60s London populated by murderous pensioners, devious spouses, double-crossing crooks and opportunistic thieves.

Richard the Lionheart: The Complete Series [DVD]
Notable Irish actor Dermot Walsh gives a memorable performance as the heroic mediaeval swashbuckler King Richard I in this exciting television series from The Danziger Brothers. Featuring tales of adventure and derring-do both at home and abroad - including a run of tales set on Crusade in the Holy Land.
