Finny, Rage and Too Fine are a group of mates who have formed a Hip Hop Band. Their hopes of escaping tough street life of South London are dashed when Too Fine is murdered for ‘unpaid debts’. When their record company drops then, they’re sucked back into a world of drugs, guns and street crime. Once they are caught up in selling crack cocaine with Too Fine’s sister, Naomi, they become targets for revenge.
Rollin' with the Nines is a gritty drama which hangs tough with recent urban movies such as Bullet Boy and Kidulthood. Directed by rising young British filmmaker Julian Gilbey, it features solid performances from Vas Blackwood (Lock Stock…; Babymother; TV’s The Bill); Robbie Gee (Snatch: TV’s Dream Team and Desmonds); Billy Murray (crime boss Johnny Allen in Eastenders), and Jason Flemying (The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen; Layer Cake; A Woman In Winter)
Rollin' with the Nines is released on 21st August by Tartan Video.
