One of cinema’s greatest modern auteurs, Spike Lee (The Inside Man, Malcolm X), directs Sucker free City, a tough, violent and brutally honest look at the not-so-different lives of three young men living in San Francisco’s toughest neighbourhoods.
Nick (Ben Crowley) is a young white man who uses his entry-level mailroom job as the perfect opportunity to get involved in high level credit card fraud. K-Luv (Anthony Mackie) fights to retain his morals as he becomes more and more involved with the drug dealing V-Dub gang, and Lincoln (Ken Leung) crosses the line more than once as his star begins to rise within the Chinese mafia. As their paths cross, the three soon find that life on the streets of San Francisco is harder than even they had imagined.
Sucker Free City is released on June 26th by TLA Releasing.
