Terrence Malick's Voyage of Time [read more]
Eat your heart out, Professor Brian Cox
MUBI, the theatrical distributor and global curated film streaming service has announced the exclusive digital premiere of Terrence Malick's Voyage of Time: An IMAX Documentary, available to stream globally (excluding China, Japan, CIS, Baltics) in 4K on MUBI from 17 December, 2021.

Legendary filmmaker Terrence Malick (The Tree of Life, Days of Heaven) presents an immersive, decades-in-the-making journey of discovery that explores the birth of the universe.

Narrated by Brad Pitt, this is a one-of-a-kind celebration of existence and the grand history of the cosmos, transporting audiences into a vast yet up-close-and-personal odyssey that spans the eons from the Big Bang to the dinosaur age to our present human world, and beyond. Combining research from leading scientists with breathtaking imagery from BAFTA-nominated VFX master Dan Glass - some taken from NASA space probes - the film's panorama of awe-inspiring visuals takes you into the heart of monumental events never witnessed before, from the origins of the stars and galaxies to the explosion of diverse life-forms on planet earth, including humankind.

Marking Malick's first foray into documentary filmmaking, Voyage of Time is an astounding celestial experience - a hymn to the glories of nature, life and scientific discovery - that sees him achieving the impossible: depicting the beginning, middle and potential end of time. Available to stream in 4K, this digital world premiere is a groundbreaking spectacle you’ll never forget. Watch the trailer at the link above.
