StudioPOW and Trevor Beattie Films are thrilled to announce the actors bringing the Beatles to life; Jonah Lees (The Letter for the King, The Phantom of the Open) will play John Lennon, Blake Richardson (Eleven Days, No Man's Land) as Paul McCartney, Leo Harvey Elledge (Creation Stories) as George Harrison, newcomer Campbell Wallace as Ringo Starr and Adam Lawrence (England is Mine, Peaky Blinders) as Pete Best and the casting of American television host Jay Leno, best known for hosting the multi award-winning The Tonight Show, as Ed Sullivan - the highly acclaimed host of The Ed Sullivan Show credited with being a star-maker within the music industry who hosted the record-breaking first ever live TV appearance of the Beatles in 1964.
Jay Leno, the American comedian, and television personality, hosted NBC's The Tonight Show for 22 years, interviewing thousands of superstars and artists. Music was a key component of the show’s success. Beginning his stand-up career at university, he became a guest host of The Tonight Show in 1987 and eventually took over as permanent host from predecessor Johnny Carson. He also hosted the eponymous The Jay Leno Show in 2009 for NBC. He currently hosts the Emmy award-winning TV series Jay Leno's Garage, a show which delves into all things motor vehicle related - inspired by his own passion for cars and motorbikes. Having forged a reputation as one of the busiest comedians, he is renowned for booking more than 300 appearances annually and for his distinctly observational brand of humour.
Jonah Lees, Blake Richardson, Leo Harvey Elledge, Campbell Wallace, and Adam Lawrence along with Jay Leno will join a cast of talented actors including Jacob Fortune-Lloyd who plays the visionary music manager Brian Epstein, Emily Watson who plays Epstein's mother Malka "Queenie" Epstein, Eddie Marsan who portrays Brian's father and successful businessman Harry, Omari Douglas as Lonnie Trimble Epstein’s ever-trusted confidant and Rosie Day as Merseybeat superstar Cilla Black. Other key roles include Lukas Gage (Love, Victor, The White Lotus, Euphoria) who plays Tex Ellington and Charley Palmer Rothwell (Jack Ryan, Beast, Darkest Hour) who plays The Beatles' record producer George Martin.
