  Cow
  Dear dairy
MUBI, the theatrical distributor and global curated film streaming service has announced the UK and Ireland theatrical release date for acclaimed filmmaker Andrea Arnold's first feature documentary Cow on 14 January, followed by its exclusive streaming debut on MUBI from 11 February 2022.

Arnold’s fifth feature film received its World Premiere at Cannes Film Festival earlier this year to critical acclaim, followed by its UK Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on 9 October 2021.

Cow explores the life of one dairy cow, offering an insight into her daily reality and acknowledging her great service to us. Speaking about the film, Arnold has said "This film is an endeavour to consider cows. To move us closer to them. To see both their beauty and the challenge of their lives. When I look at Luma, our cow, I see the whole world in her."

Cow is produced by Kat Mansoor for Halcyon Pictures. Executive Producers are Rose Garnett for BBC Film and Sandra Whipman and Maxyne Franklin for Doc Society.

Arnold has previously won three Jury Prizes at Cannes; American Honey in 2016, Fish Tank in 2009 and Red Road in 2006.

Recent and upcoming theatrical releases for MUBI in the UK and Ireland include First Cow from Kelly Reichardt, Ben Sharrock's twice BAFTA nominated Limbo, Michel Franco's New Order, Leos Carax's Cannes 2021 opening film Annette, Sebastian Meise's Great Freedom, Céline Sciamma’s latest film Petite Maman, Valdimar Jo´hannsson's Lamb and Paul Verhoeven’s Benedetta. Previous theatrical releases have included Bacurau from Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dornelles, Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria and Border from Ali Abbasi.
