Directed by Slovenian film director Mitja Okorn and also starring Cuba Gooding, Jr (Jerry Maguire, Selma) and Nia Long (Big Mamma’s House), LIFE IN A YEAR follows 17-year-old Daryn (Jaden Smith) as he meets and falls in love with Isabelle (Cara Delevingne). After learning she is dying, he sets out to give her a lifetime's worth of experiences in the year she has left to live.
Daryn is captain of the varsity track team and member of the National Honors Society, with a promising Harvard college career, but he reevaluates his future plans when he falls for Isabelle, a girl from the wrong side of the tracks that flips his world upside down. When he discovers she is dying, he shifts his focus to give her their entire life together, in the year she has left.
