Joining Rakuten TV's Starzplay section is series 1 of No Man's Land, alongside Confronting A Serial Killer and Manhunt: Deadly Games. Plus, Rakuten TV's FREE section adds Imperium, Birdman, Control and Empire Records.
The much anticipated six-time Oscar nominated film Minari with Steven Yeun and Yeri Han follows a Korean American family as they move to an Arkansas farm in search of their own American dream. Amidst the challenges of this new life in the strange and rugged Ozarks, they discover the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home.
Set in the Southern English coastline in 1840, Ammonite sees self-taught palaeontologist Mary (Kate Winslet) offered a sum of money she can't refuse to allow a wealthy tourist’s wife (Saoirse Ronan) to accompany her hunts along the shoreline for fossils. The pair, who are worlds apart, form an unlikely friendship which soon develops into a passionate love affair that defies social bounds and alters their lives forever. Continuing the theme of romance and drama, Dreamland (4K HDR) is a thrilling tale of lonely teenage dreamer Eugene (Finn Cole) who gets caught up in helping fugitive bank robber Allison's (Margot Robbie) messy ordeal in 1930s America. Packed with impressive and daring visual sequences, this clever outlaw romance switches up normal gender assumptions and remains exciting right up until the last moment.
The Virtuoso, starring Anthony Hopkins and Anson Mount, provides audiences with another tense manhunt. A ruthless hitman is tasked with tracking down and killing his latest target to satisfy an outstanding debt to his mentor. Told only that his target will be in a rustic diner in a dying town at 5:00 PM, the hitman must navigate through the potential victims and get rid of any distractions that get in his way. Starring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley comes the adventure sci-fi Chaos Walking, a dystopian world where there are no women and all living creatures can hear each other's thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called Noise. After Todd (Holland) discovers a patch of silence out in the swamp, his surrogate parents tell him that he has to run, leaving him with only a map of New World, a message, and many unanswered questions. He soon discovers the source of the silence: a girl, named Viola (Ridley).
