Hollywood superstar Nicolas Cage is back to his unpredictable and laconic best as Yuri Orlov, a young Ukranian immigrant who seizes his slice of the American Dream by selling an Uzi. This triggers Yuri’s brilliant arms dealing career and over the next 25 years, he sells guns around the world “to every army but the Salvation Army.”
Yuri’s suits become as sharp as his patter when business booms in the chaotic aftermath of the Cold War. His only obstacles: his junkie brother’s wavering morality (Jared Leto), the one relentless Interpol cop he cannot pay-off (Ethan Hawke), his trophy wife (Bridget Moynahan), who may not turn a blind eye forever, old school rival death merchant (Ian Holm) and a psychotic African dictator (Eamonn Walker) whose pleasure is the business of war. But Yuri’s greatest danger comes from his lifelong enemy… his conscience.
