Altitude will release Lee Isaac Chung's award-winning film MINARI starring Steven Yeun (Burning, Sorry To Bother You, The Walking Dead) in the UK and Ireland from 19 March following its UK Premiere TONIGHT at the Glasgow Film Festival.
MINARI received its World Premiere at 2020 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award and has garnered critical acclaim and praise from audiences for its vivid and transformative storytelling. It has recently been nominated for a slew of awards across the Golden Globes, SAG, Independent Spirit, as well as numerous Critics Choice Awards.
A tender and sweeping story about what roots us, MINARI follows a Korean-American family that moves to a tiny Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. The family home changes completely with the arrival of their sly, foul-mouthed, but incredibly loving grandmother. Amidst the instability and challenges of this new life in the rugged Ozarks, MINARI shows the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home.
With arresting performances from Steven Yeun, Han Ye-ri (My Unfamiliar Family), Yuh-jung Youn (Sense8) and newcomer Alan S Kim, MINARI is intimate, beautifully composed and empathetic cinema of the highest order.
MINARI WILL HAVE ITS UK PREMIERE ONLINE AT THE GLASGOW FILM FESTIVAL TONIGHT AND PREMIERE IN IRELAND AT THE DUBLIN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FROM 6 MARCH. Watch a new clip at the link.
