  Last Days of Kurt Cobain?
Almost... Gus Van Sant comes close
Innovative and lyrical, Last Days is award-winning director Gus Van Sant’s (Elephant, My Own Private Idaho, Good Will Hunting) fictional meditation on the inner turmoil that engulfs a brilliant, but troubled musician in the final hours of his life. Starring Michael Pitt (The Dreamers, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Lucas Haas (Witness, Brick) and Asia Argento (XXX, The Heart is Deceitful above all Things) the film, though fictional, is inspired by the last days of Kurt Cobain.

Michael Pitt puts in an astonishing performance as Blake, an introspective artist whose success has left him in a lonely place, where livelihoods rest on his shoulders and old friends regularly tap him for money and favours. Last Days follows Blake through a handful of hours he spends in and near his wooded home, a fugitive from his own life.

Last Days is released to buy and rent on DVD and VHS from 9th January 2006.
