Who doesn't care how the award-winning film The Painted Bird was made?
The Painted Bird is the story of a lone Jewish boy wandering through a cruel obstacle course of survival and abuse in Eastern Europe at the end of World War II.
The documentary 11 Colours Of The Bird offers a unique view behind the curtain of this exceptional work, which has left its mark on European and world festivals. And it's not a look that's cruel or black-and-white or silent.

The familiar faces of world cinema (Udo Kier, Stellan Skarsgård, Harvey Keitel, Julian Sands and Barry Pepper) also reveal their contribution to The Painted Bird. Thanks to a kind but inexorably open narrative, divided into eleven chapters, the viewer becomes another member of the film crew... Watch the trailer at the link.
