  The Singapore Grip on DVD
  Prestige drama
An ambitious and exotic family saga set in Singapore during World War Two at the time of the Japanese invasion, THE SINGAPORE GRIP is out on DVD on 19th October and on Digital Download now. Featuring an acclaimed cast including David Morrissey (TV's Britannia), Jane Horrocks (Absolutely Fabulous The Movie), Luke Treadaway (TV's Traitors , A Street Cat named Bob), Elizabeth Tan (TV's Top Boy) and Charles Dance (TV's Game of Thrones), it is adapted by distinguished screenwriter Christopher Hampton from J.G. Farrell's classic novel.

This epic story centres on the wealthy Blackett family. Rubber merchant Walter and his wife Sylvia, ruthless daughter Joan and spoilt son Monty live a life of luxury, seemingly untouched by the troubles in Europe. With Walter's business partner Mr Webb's health failing, Walter needs to ensure that the future of the firm is secure. He decides that's Webb's son Matthew is the perfect match for Joan and Joan is happy to agree. However, Matthew’s idealism leaves Walter increasingly suspicious as reluctant hero Matthew falls under the spell of Vera Chiang, a mysterious Chinese refugee.
