To celebrate the Shudder release of Guatemalan filmmaker Jayro Bustamante's LA LLORONA, we are offering screeners of Bustamante's previous titles IXCANUL (2015) and TEMBLORES (2019). LA LLORONA serves as the final installment of what Bustamante refers to as a triptych of works that are tied to Guatemala's history of discrimination. Each title explores this history through three important insults:

2. TEMBLORES explores the insult hueco ("hole", a derogatory term for homosexual)
