British comedy legend Ronnie Barker has died following years of heart trouble. Part of the comic landscape in the UK for nearly thirty years, he always insisted he was a comic actor rather than a comedian, and appeared in many hit television shows from the Frost Report (which first teamed him with Ronnie Corbett) and Porridge to Open All Hours and sketch classic The Two Ronnies, for which he wrote many of the most famous routines. Film appearances included Father Came Too! and Robin and Marian, as Friar Tuck, and he also starred in short silent comedies such as Futtock's End.
