Not the first time Dickie has been sent into space
Independent film distributor PARKLAND has scheduled an early VOD release for ASTRONAUT, starring Richard Dreyfuss. The film was scheduled for a theatrical release on the 20th March with over 70 cinemas lined up for the release date, before the COVID-19 lockdown forced a change of plans.
ASTRONAUT is now being fast-tracked for a digital release on Monday 27th April, with all major UK video-on-demand platforms taking part including iTunes, Amazon, Sky, Virgin, Google and Rakuten.
ASTRONAUT features a charismatic central performance from Hollywood legend Richard Dreyfuss as a lonely widower who lies about his age when entering a competition to win a trip into space. ASTRONAUT is the directorial debut of Shelagh McLeod, and is produced by Jessica Adams and Sean Buckley. The trailer is at the link above.
