Portrait of a Lady on Fire is the latest film from French filmmaker Celine Sciamma (Tomboy / Girlhood) and it follows the story of a female painter who, after being sent to an isolated island in Bretagne at the end of the eighteenth century, is obliged to paint a wedding portrait of a young woman in secret. The film was nominated for Best Film Not in the English Language at the BAFTAS and you can watch the trailer at the link above.
