Climate change, migration, disability, homelessness and sexuality are just some of the subjects explored in The Uncertain Kingdom. The ground-breaking anthology of twenty short films from twenty directors offers a unique portrait of the nation today.
The Uncertain Kingdom features an ensemble cast of actors including Alice Lowe (Sightseers, Prevenge), BAFTA nominated Mark Addy (The Full Monty, Game of Thrones), Steve Evets (Looking for Eric, Apostasy), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered, Fleabag), Andy Hamilton (What We Did on Our Holiday), Ruth Madeley (Years & Years) and Laurie Davidson (Cats, The Good Liar).
From drama, documentary, dance and mockumentary through to animation and experimenta, The Uncertain Kingdom's range of genres and styles mirror the diverse creatives behind them, reflecting their unique perspectives on our unprecedented times.
The films will be released in cinemas Spring 2020, followed by screenings nationwide focused on inspiring and supporting conversation about the subjects explored in local communities. |
