Today Manchester Animation Festival (MAF), the festival celebrating animation in all its forms, announces that on Thursday 14th November it will be screening a preview of Netflix's first animated film KLAUS directed by Sergio Pablos.
The film follows the adventure of Jesper who after proving himself to be the worst postman at the academy is posted to a frozen town in the North where he discovers a mysterious toy maker is hiding out.
The festival will also be hosting a behind the scenes masterclass with Animation Supervisor from the film Sergio Martins.
Making of Klaus will provide an inside look into the making of Netflix's KLAUS, with special focus on the challenges and breakthroughs of character animation and development on this ground breaking 2D animated film.
This announcement adds to an impressive roster of film screenings as part of MAF 2019; many of the films featured hold a place on the record-breaking longlist of 32 submitted for consideration in the Animated Feature Film category of the 92nd Academy Awards in 2020.
