A Confession on DVD and digital

From Oscar-nominated writer Jeff Pope (Philomena, Stan & Ollie, Little Boy Blue) comes a six-part drama series, A Confession, out on DVD on 14th October and available now on Digital Download.

Directed by award-winning director Paul Andrew Williams (London To Brighton, The Cottage, Broadchurch), A Confession stars Martin Freeman (Sherlock, The Office, Fargo, The Hobbit Trilogy), Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Vera Drake, Pride), Daniel Betts (The Crown, Mr Selfridge) and Jessica D'Arcy (Electric Dreams).

Set in Swindon in 2011, A Confession is a true crime drama about detective Steve Fulcher (Freeman) who will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of the disappearance of 22-year-old Sian O' Callaghan (D'Arcy).

When her worried boyfriend reports her missing, Fulcher's initial investigation leads him to believe Sian is still alive and subsequently orders a full-scale search operation. As the tense hunt builds, it is a race against time as the detective closes in on a chief suspect and is forced into a battle between protocol and the need for justice before time runs out.

Meanwhile, a local woman Karen Edwards (Staunton), is triggered by the case as her own daughter disappeared back in 2003. Fearful that her daughter is some how involved, Edwards and Fulcher become tragically intertwined as the detective's investigation leads to a startling and unforeseen conclusion.
