Polanski takes top honours at London awards ceremony
Roman Polanski won two BAFTAs last night for his Holocaust drama The Pianist, taking home Best Film and Best Director. Christopher Walken collected a long-deserved Best Supporting Actor gong (for Catch Me If You Can), while Daniel Day-Lewis was named Best Actor for his acclaimed performance in Gangs of New York. Nicole Kidman and Catherine Zeta-Jones won Best Actress and Supporting Actress respectively (for The Hours and Chicago), with Pedro Almovodar's Talk To Her getting two nods – Best Foriegn Language Film and Original Screenplay.
