Alfred Molina has been confirmed as the villainous co-star of Sam Raimi's The Amazing Spider-Man. Molina will take on the role of the multi-armed evil genius Dr Octopus in the superhero sequel, which will hit cinemas in summer 2004. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco are all returning, with Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Michael Chabon providing the screenplay.
