Network's The British Film: Phase II [read more]
Loads more goodies from the label who brought you The Goodies
Network's THE BRITISH FILM label of Blu-rays and DVDs has been a notable and thriving success, featuring over 400 films from the silent era through to the 1980s, including classics such as The Ipcress File, Animal Farm, Black Narcissus and The Man Who Haunted Himself. The label proudly re-presents the UK's cinematic heritage as brand-new transfers from the original film elements and lovingly introducing classy packaging that reflects the original, iconic poster artwork of these vintage films.

Network are extremely proud of the films released to date and new key deals with Studiocanal will enable them to expand the label even further - both on physical media and, excitingly on VOD. They are now embarking on THE BRITISH FILM: PHASE II, which starts with a bang this New Year!

January 2019 kicks off the new chapter with some barnstorming British comedies - with brand-new releases of the hilarious film versions of MAN ABOUT THE HOUSE (1974) and TILL DEATH US DO PART (1968). Hot on their heels is the classic crime-fighting duo of Jack Regan and George Carter in SWEENEY! (1977) and SWEENEY 2 (1978) – followed later by CLIFF RICHARD in the hotly-anticipated release of his final film TAKE ME HIGH (1973), PETER SELLERS and an all-star cast in gentle comedy THE SMALLEST SHOW ON EARTH (1957), comedy writing legends Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais' spin-off feature THE LIKELY LADS (1976) and ANNA NEAGLE's spectacular Queen Victoria biopics VICTORIA THE GREAT (1937) and SIXTY GLORIOUS YEARS (1938). All these new releases will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital VOD, all sourced from High Definition transfers taken from the original film elements.
