Following its premiere at 2017's SXSW and a US theatrical release earlier this year that saw audiences and press alike divided in their outpourings of love and outrage for the visceral - and never more topical - thriller, US AND THEM, British director Joe Martin's darkly comic, raw and controversial feature debut, arrives in UK cinemas on October 12 (TBC).
With an exciting British cast led by the 'absolutely riveting' (LA Times) Jack Roth (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) alongside Sophie Colquhoun (The Inbetweeners Movie), Tim Bentinck (BBC Radio 4's The Archers), Carolyn Backhouse (Scoop) and Andrew Tiernan (300), US AND THEM is the story of angry and frustrated working class Danny (Roth), and his attempt to kick-start a revolution by turning the tables on the establishment with a deadly game of chance.
Director Joe Martin's grotesque chamber piece on speed, at its heart, diffuses the political fury that was reflected in the votes for Brexit and Trump, all set to a stylish, Tarantion-esque background, and accompanied by a blistering and uncompromising soundtrack from the likes of Sleaford Mods and The Damned. See the trailer above.
There is also a special Q&A screening taking place with JACK ROTH and TIM BENTINCK on Thursday October 11 at The Mile End Genesis cinema.
