Simone Simon, the kittenish actress who was best known for starring in horror classic Cat People, has died aged 95, although her true age was in question. A former model, she moved between France, where she was a big star, and Hollywood, where her career never really took off. Her best films included La Bete Humaine, The Devil and Daniel Webster, Curse of the Cat People, La Ronde and Le Plaisir, but she had been retired from the screen for many years. |
