Following its premiere at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, BENDING THE ARC will launch as part of Bertha DocHouse's DocHouse Firsts strand on August 18th. The strand, launched in 2016, aims to create opportunities for audiences to see films which they otherwise may not have had a chance to experience on the big screen.
Directed by Academy Award-Nominee Kief Davidson (The Ivory Game, Open Heart) and Primetime Emmy Award Winner Pedro Kos (Al midan, The Crash Reel), and written by Academy Award-Nominee Cori Shepherd Stern (Warm Bodies, Open Heart) BENDING THE ARC is a powerful documentary about the extraordinary team of doctors and activists - including Paul Farmer, Jim Yong Kim, and Ophelia Dahl - whose work thirty years ago to save lives in a rural Haitian village grew into a global battle in the halls of power for the right to health for all.
