Cult 1927 sci-fi classic Metropolis is a triumph of German Expressionism and remains one of the most influential films ever made. To mark its 90th anniversary Wilton's Music Hall is proud to host Metropolis Live, with pianist and composer Dmytro Morykit performing the original score to accompany the film.
The critically acclaimed Metropolis Live first opened to a sold out run at Wilton's in 2014 and has since toured all over the world, making this a very welcome return for 3 performances only; 01-03 August 2017.
With its portrayal of a futuristic cityscape and an iconic female robot, Metropolis is considered the Citizen Kane of sci-fi cinema, influencing 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner and Star Wars, among countless others.
