Last week saw former Child Prodigy, Magnus Carlsen celebrate his Third World Chess Championship as well as his 26th Birthday, as he defended his world title for the third consecutive time. With the Mozart Of Chess continuing to cut a swathe through the records of chess history, we’d like to bring your attention to the film MAGNUS, which documents Carlsen's life from an early age, shedding light on his extraordinary character and mind and how it is that a young boy from Norway became a grandmaster at the age of 13, who has check-mated Bill Gates in nine moves and defeated Ten Harvard professors at chess simultaneously whilst blindfolded.
MAGNUS, directed by Benjamin Ree and Produced by Sigurd Mikal Karoliussen, won Best Film at the Norwegian International Film Festival 2016 and was nominated for Best Documentary at the Moscow International Film Festival, a thrilling documentary charting the path to glory for this unique prodigy.
Check-mate The Halls this Christmas with Award-Winning Film on MAGNUS - the Newly-Crowned Three Times World Chess Champion.
Available on digital, VoD, Blu-ray & DVD 12th December.
