Sam Raimi has nixed rumours that his and Bruce Campbell’s Evil Dead hero Ash will face Freddy and Jason in a forthcoming film, stating that he was reluctant to hand Ash over to another director. “I didn't want to be in a position where I was protecting Ash, the character that I want to eventually make another movie with one day, protecting him and not allowing the director to do what he felt he had to do,” said Raimi, “ As fun as that sounded, I think they're in two different worlds, the Evil Dead and Jason/Freddy.” Let’s hope that once Spider-man 3 is done, Sam can reunite with Campbell for the film we’re REALLY looking forward to, Evil Dead 4...
