Life on the West Bank is tough, but despite a tangle of roadblocks and checkpoints, a thriving street car-racing scene has emerged. And at the heart of it is a group of five brave, bold and fearless women, the Speed Sisters, the first all-women racing car drivers in the Middle East.
Grabbing headlines and turning heads at improvised tracks across the West Bank, these five women have sped their way into the centre of the gritty, male-dominated Palestinian racing world. Weaving together their lives on and off the track, SPEED SISTERS, is an award-winning, feature documentary from Amber Fares.
