  Burn Burn Burn
  Pay your respects
A touching feel-good road-trip comedy, BURN BURN BURN is the directorial debut from one of Britain’s most promising filmmakers, Chanya Button. Written by Charlie Covell (E4’s hit series Banana), the film stars Downton Abbey’s Laura Carmichael, BIFA 2013’s Most Promising Newcomer Chloe Pirrie (Shell) and Jack Farthing (Poldark). The film receives its World Premiere at the 59th BFI London Film Festival with cast and filmmakers expected to attend. BURN BURN BURN, which screens in the Laugh strand, premieres on Thursday 15 October at 9pm at Cineworld Haymarket and on Sunday 19 October, 1pm at Hackney Picturehouse.

BURN BURN BURN is a melancholic comedy, following Seph (Laura Carmicahael) and Alex (Chloe Pirrie) on a road trip around the UK, after their recently deceased best friend Dan (Jack Farthing) posthumously tasks them with scattering his ashes. Offering his friends an opportunity to come to terms with his death, Dan leaves a series of video diaries with instructions for the trip. A dark comedy about grief and friendship, BURN BURN BURN sees Seph and Alex depart on one last trip with Dan, safely decanted into Tupperware and stowed the glove compartment. Dan’s video diaries are at once moving and bitingly funny; he imparts words of wisdom via video message from beyond the grave, whilst Alex and Seph encounter new friends, old family, hitchhikers, and are forced to answer questions about their own lives, left in turmoil after the loss of their closest friend.
