When disgruntled widower Fred (Christopher Plummer: Hector and The Search for Happiness, Up) is forced to move in with his daughter in her New Orleans’ apartment, his only cares are for lying down and avoiding social interaction at all costs.
But his life takes an unexpected and wonderful turn when he meets free-spirited neighbour Elsa (Shirley MacLaine: Terms of Endearment, TV’s Downton Abbey), a romantic idealist with a passion for Rome and Italian cinema. Her spontaneity and optimism prove infectious, and Fred begins to see life in a whole new light.
