The Alan Howard Foundation / JW3 Speaker Series features conversations, talks and entertainment delivered by world renowned leaders and experts in their respective fields who can provide a unique insight into their chosen topics. The lectures and performances are designed to cover broad areas of intellectual thought, including economics, science, history, politics and the arts. The principal aims of the series are to educate and entertain through high level conversation and debate, whilst delivering a rich, diverse and inspiring range of events. Each event will be held at JW3 in London, a brand new, state-of-the-art community and cultural venue, established for the benefit of the Jewish community, the local community, and for the people of London.

Mike Milken is known for his legendary 45-year career as a financier and philanthropist. The Economist said his financial innovations “are credited with fuelling much of America's rampant economic growth by enabling companies with bright ideas to get the money they need to develop them,” and Fortune magazine dubbed him “The Man Who Changed Medicine.”

John Landis is perhaps best known for making films that stand the test of time – from the horror classic An American Werewolf in London to the perennial comedy favourite Trading Places. He’s also the man behind a number of commercial successes off the big screen, including a host of television credits, Michael Jackson’s ground-breaking Thriller video, advertising campaigns and special features for Disney parks.

What these two men have in common is an unrelenting passion to innovate and a shared love of film. In this wide-ranging interview, they’ll discuss (and show filmed examples of) humour, creativity, human capital and the film industry.

DATE: Wednesday, October 29, 7.30pm. TICKET PRICE: £25.00. See the link above for details.
