  The Nomad Cinema [read more]
A chance to enjoy movies on the big screen, as intended
With the final screenings of the summer season taking place this week, The Nomad is preparing to take things indoors for Autumn and Winter with some special pop-up residencies at The Hoxton Hotel, The LookOut in Hyde Park and the Hippodrome Casino.

While many pop-up cinemas head into hibernation once summer’s over, not The Nomad. Sunday 28th September sees the Nomad continue with its residency at The Hoxton Hotel screening cult favourite Zoolander starring the really really ridiculously good looking Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Then the ghoulish journey begins at The LookOut, Hyde Park for a series of spooky screenings for Halloween. Slurp on a ‘Singapore Slime’ and discover your true vampire identity at the fancy dress photo booth or test your limits with the ‘unlucky’ dip before settling down to watch Ghostbusters, The Wicker Man, Twilight or The Blair Witch Project.

The LookOut is home to The Royal Parks Foundation, which raises funds to support a wide variety of projects from wildlife conservation and landscape restoration, to community sport, education and art across all eight Royal Parks. Each ticket to the Halloween screenings costs £25 and includes a glass of bubbles, a delicious hot wrap from Souvlaki Street Food, hair-raising Halloween themed activities and a fire-pit for toasting marshmallows. Plus you feel warm in the knowledge that the money spent gets split between the fundraising activities of The Royal Parks Foundation and The Nomad’s charity the Sustainability Institute.

Watch out for more screenings to be announced as the Nomad ventures onto The Hippodrome Casino for special Christmas and Valentine screenings, with more seasonal events planned at The LookOut, The Hoxton Hotel and more. Just click the link above.
