We heard from director Richard Elfman with exciting news: "Forbidden Zone 2 is the upcoming sequel to an outrageous fantasy musical I did with my brother Danny Elfman back in 1982. That micro-budgeted film subsequently became a popular cult phenomena, has been produced as a stage play in major cities and is currently being live “shadow cast” by Rocky Horror troupes.
"FZ2 shall be bigger, badder and bolder than the original. We are crowd funding a portion of the budget through Indiegogo to maintain that creative independence. Along with the outrageous humor and absurdity of the original, FZ2 will again dazzle its audience with unforgettable vintage musical numbers along with some sizzling hot originals by Danny. My son and daughter-in-law, Bodhi and Jenna Elfman, will each do multiple roles. Jenna, a trained professional dancer, will do a comedic aerial ballet choreographed by Shana Carroll (Cirque du Soleil). Jenna will also play a wild “Rocky-esque” trannie school teacher—Danny is writing her a showstopper!
