Dubbed 'The Imposter of music docs,' this film tells the real life story about how - back in 2003/4, Californian hip-hop duo 'Silibil N'Brains' secured a record deal and were set to be massive – however, what no-one really knew was that they were actually a pair of students from Scotland, with fake American accents and made up identities.
Following the great response the film received during the festival circuit, including SXSW and Edinburgh, the unbelievable true story, THE GREAT HIP HOP HOAX is in cinemas and VOD on 6th September. Check out the trailer above.
