Clint Eastwood’s character, Gus, has been one of the best scouts in baseball for decades but age is starting to catch up with him. He turns to his daughter Mickey, played by Amy Adams, a high powered law associate and asks her to join him on a scouting trip to North Carolina and she accepts, putting her own career at risk. Forced to spend time together for the first time in years each makes new discoveries revealing long-held truths about their past and present that could change their future.
