  Albert Nobbs on DVD
Nice to see Robin Williams doing so well
Discover the unique and beautiful tale of one woman’s struggle to live in a man’s world when ALBERT NOBBS is released on DVD on 3rd September 2012, courtesy of Entertainment One.

Nominated for three Academy Awards including Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, ALBERT NOBBS boasts a prestigious cast including Oscar nominees Glenn Close (Dangerous Liaisons, Fatal Attraction) and Janet McTeer (The Woman in Black, Tumbleweeds), BAFTA nominee Brendan Gleeson (The Guard), Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors), IFTA nominee Maria Doyle Kennedy (Downton Abbey) and Academy Award winner Brenda Fricker (My Left Foot), alongside the multi-award winning Pauline Collins (Shirley Valentine) and rising stars Aaron Johnson (Nowhere Boy, Kick Ass) and Mia Wasikowska (Jane Eyre, Alice in Wonderland).

In 19th Century Dublin, employment is scarce for women, forcing an impoverished young British girl to make a life changing decision to masquerade as a man in order to survive. Some thirty years after donning men's clothing, Albert Nobbs is a quiet, unassuming butler with a secret, working at the Morrison’s Hotel. Alone, with only her work colleagues as companions, she finds herself trapped in a prison of her own making until a chance meeting with another man concealing a secret opens her mind to the possibility that she doesn’t have to live as an outsider, helping her along the path to rediscovering her true identity.
