  New Year, New Poll
And the Academy Award goes to...
As 2012 begins, it's time for a fresh poll. Our winner of the best Beatles movie was no surprise, with A Hard Day's Night garnering nearly 50% of the votes, but it was good to see Yellow Submarine in second place. Joint last were Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, fair enough, and I Wanna Hold Your Hand, a bit of a shame but then again it is pretty obscure these days.

This new poll seeks to celebrate those great performances that the Oscars criminally overlooked in their year. We present a list of ten leading men who were not even nominated for the Best Actor Award for these films, but darn well should have been. Imagine if one of these had won! What would the acceptance speeches have been like?! Well, Bruce Lee's would have been understandably muted, but the others would have been ones for the history books for us cult movie fans. Obviously it was difficult to pick just ten, but every one of these thespian turns has a devoted following.

So vote today! Oh, and have a happy new year.
