After an incredibly strong line-up the jury has now made their decisions and present the winners of the 22nd edition of Stockholm International Film Festival. The 7.3 kilogrammes heavy Bronze Horse for best film goes to a film with intelligent dialogue, brilliant photography and astounding performances from the actors – a perfectly painted portrait of a generation.
This year’s Bronze Horse for Best Film is awarded Oslo August 31 by Joachim Trier. Motivation of the jury: In this film we get to know the man who had all possibilities in a fantastic world, but failed to do anything with it. It is an uncomfortably honest character; both to himself and the world around him. Clever dialogue with an underlying tone of humour, breathtaking cinematography and truthful acting makes this film a perfect portrait of the director’s generation.
This year’s jury consists of director Whit Stillman, actress Iben Hjejle, director Lisa Langseth, photographer and director Jens Assur and producer Sandra Harms.
