George Romero’s splatter classic Day Of The Dead gets its long-awaited Region 1 two-disc release on April 29th 2003, from Anchor Bay. The final part in the great man’s zombie trilogy comes in a THX-certified 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, remixed with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround EX and DTS 6.1 ES surround tracks. Extras include a Romero commentary, 2 featurettes, stills galleries, the complete screenplay, trailers, and a collectable booklet. A three-disc Dawn Of The Dead featuring all three cuts of the film (original theatrical, Dario Argento’s shorter Euro cut and the longer Cannes version) is due from Anchor Bay next summer...
