In 9th Century Poland, the cruel prince Popiel rules the land with a bloodthirsty Viking tribe. Desperate to secure his son as successor to the throne, Popiel dooms hundreds to torture and death.
Only Piastun, commander of the army, refuses to bow to the Prince’s commands and is driven into hiding. Here, Piastun is rescued from certain death by fellow outcast Ziemovit, a young warrior torn from his lover, who has been long-since promised to the Gods.
Reluctantly, both men decide to join forces to take on the might of the Viking hordes and ultimately, even the Gods themselves…
