The suspenseful story follows a raw squad of Ultramarines investigating an urgent request for assistance from the remote shrine-world of Mithron. Mithron is defended by a full company of Imperial Fists, a fellow chapter of Space Marines who, for countless generations, have stood guard over the planet and its Imperial Shrine.
