British actress Natasha Richardson has died after a skiing accident, it was announced late yesterday. She was 45. The wife of Liam Neeson, daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and director Tony Richardson and sister of Joely Richardson, enjoyed most success as a stage performer, but had a run of quality films as well, starting with Ken Russell's Gothic, where she played Mary Shelley. Other films included Patty Hearst (in the title role), The Handmaid's Tale, The Comfort of Strangers, Nell, The Parent Trap, Maid in Manhattan and Asylum. |
