  Electric Dreams on DVD
  One for the eighties kids
“We’ll always be together…” And at last fans of a classic slice of 80s nostalgia can be reunited with their first love as Second Sight gives a first ever DVD release to Electric Dreams. This much-loved, bona fide 80s classic – as famous for its outstanding soundtrack and accompanying Philip Oakey and Giorgio Moroder theme tune as it is for a plot that was inspired by the growing fad for computer technology – arrives for the for the first time on 6 April 2009.

Its success was driven by that of the accompanying pop promo for the Electric Dreams single that featured clips from the film. For those that remember the theme tune but not the plot, Electric Dreams follows Miles, a helpless, hopeless architect about to blow a fuse. Having come up with earthquake proof technology, he buys a home computer in an effort to get organised and develop his ideas. The problem comes when Edgar – his problematic PC – decides to ruin his life, wrecking his credit rating, running up his phone bill, cancelling his plane reservations and locking him out of his house. Now Edgar wants his girlfriend; the blonde and brilliant Madeline, who’s just waiting for the sparks to fly.
