It has been announced that Ricardo Montalban has died of natural causes. The proud Mexican star began his career in his homeland, before making it to Hollywood and extensive work on television and in film, most memorably in his hit series Fantasy Island and the second Star Trek feature The Wrath of Khan, where he was a tremendous villain. Other films included Sayanora as an unlikely Japanese character, John Ford's Cheyenne Autumn, The Singing Nun, musical Sweet Charity, two Planet of the Apes sequels, the first Naked Gun movie as the bad guy, and the second two Spy Kids films. A real gentleman, he was working up until last year. |
