  Driftwood on DVD
  Ghost story
From Tim Sullivan, director of the cult horror-comedy '2001 Maniacs', comes DRIFTWOOD, a contemporary ghost story-cum-murder mystery set in the stark confines of a young men's 'attitude adjustment facility'.

Starring former WCW and WWF champion wrestler Diamond Dallas Page, up and coming twentysomething pin-ups Ricky Ullman (Phil Of The Future; Prom Wars), Talan Torriero (Laguna Beach) and Connor Ross (Palo Alto), and David Eigenberg (Sex And The City), Lin Shaye (Snakes On A Plane) and Marc McClure (the Superman movie series), DRIFTWOOD sees Sullivan foregoing the horror-comedy route in favour of a far more serious take on the horror genre.

Riddled with guilt over the loss of his rock star older brother, 16-year-old David Forrester (Ullman) becomes obsessed with death, leading his misguided parents to send him to Driftwood, an attitude-adjustment Camp for troubled youths run by the sadistic Captain Doug Kennedy (Page) and his brutal young henchman, Yates (Torriero). Once there, David becomes haunted by the spirit of Jonathan (Ross), a former inmate who met a mysterious end, and a mystery whose resolution could very well be David's only way out.

DRIFTWOOD (cert. 15, tbc) will be released on DVD (£15.99) by Anchor Bay Entertainment on 26th January 2009.
