Stan Winston, the makeup and monsters designer who won four Oscars for his creations, has died of cancer, it has been announced. With a talent for breathing new life into classic ideas as well as coming up with great new ones, some of the films that benefitted from his immense skill included The Wiz, The Entity, The Thing, The Terminator and its sequels, Aliens, Predator and its sequel, The Monster Squad, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Jurassic Park, Galaxy Quest, A.I., Constantine and Iron Man. |
